New York 4K | Driving In Staten Island | USA Road Trip Staten Island has always been a mysterious place. It's the only borough of New York City that doesn't have a subway system. Driving in Staten Island is an experience in itself. The hills make parking difficult, there are no bike lanes, and the roads are one-way with a ton of stoplights.Throughout this video, we'll explore some of Staten Island's more prominent features.So buckle up and join us on an adventure to see Staten Island through different eyes! Staten Island is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Richmond County, in the U.S. state of New York. Located in the southwest portion of the city, the borough is separated from New Jersey by the Arthur Kill and the Kill Van Kull and from the rest of New York by New York Bay.Motor traffic can reach the borough from Brooklyn via the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge and from New Jersey via the Outerbridge Crossing, Goethals Bridge and Bayonne Bridge. Staten Island has Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) bus lines and an MTA rapid transit line, the Staten Island Railway, which runs from the ferry terminal at St. George to Tottenville.The free Staten Island Ferry connects the borough to Manhattan across New York Harbor.
